FOR FAMILIES
Something Doesn’t Feel Right.
You’re Not Imagining It.
If you’re worried about someone’s care, safety or treatment — that’s enough. You don’t need evidence. You don’t need to be sure.
“I’ve been where you are. The worry that won’t go away. The feeling that nobody is listening. That’s exactly why ORVIA exists — because families deserve someone who understands.”
— ORVIA Founder · 22 years in healthcare · started as a family member, not a professional
What Concerns Look Like
👁️
Changes You Can See
Changes in mood or behaviour. Unexplained injuries. Loss of weight, dignity or confidence. A withdrawal from things they used to enjoy.
🤔
Things That Feel Wrong
Staff attitudes that don’t sit right. Restricted visiting. Evasive answers. A general sense that something is off — even if you can’t name it.
📋
What Should Be Happening
Care plans not being followed. Medications missed. Promises made but never kept. A gap between what’s written down and what’s actually happening.
“Safeguarding starts and ends with the person.”
— ORVIA founding principle
What ORVIA Can Do
🛡️
Independent Review
We look at what’s really happening — not just what’s written down. Our reviews are independent, thorough and honest. We don’t take sides. We look at the full picture.
🔍
Observational Evidence
We observe practice, check records, speak to people. We gather evidence you can use — whether for a complaint, legal action, or simply to understand the truth.
📞
Confidential Support
Initial conversations are always free. We listen first. Everything is confidential. You choose what happens next — we never pressure families into services they don’t need.
⚖️
Legal Support
If you have legal representation, ORVIA can provide your solicitor with independent safeguarding evidence. We work alongside your legal team, not in place of them.

Common Questions
What happens after I raise a concern?
We listen to you first. If you want us to look into it, we carry out an independent review — observing practice, checking records, speaking to people. You’ll receive a clear, honest report of what we found.
Will my family member know I raised a concern?
That’s your choice. We can work confidentially. Many families prefer this initially. We’ll discuss this with you before we do anything.
Is there a cost?
Initial conversations are always free. If a full review is needed, we’ll explain the costs clearly before any work begins. We never pressure families into services they don’t need.
Can I raise a concern anonymously?
Yes. You can share information without giving your name. However, the more we know about the situation, the more effectively we can review it.
What if it’s not a safeguarding issue?
It doesn’t have to be. If you’re worried about the quality of care, the culture of a service, or how your family member is being treated — that matters. We look at the full picture.
I’m a professional — how do I refer?
Professionals can contact us the same way. We work with social workers, advocates, solicitors and healthcare professionals. Email hello@orviahealthcare.co.uk with the context, and we’ll respond within 24 hours.
