ORVIA Lens™
Provider Reality Review
“Know the truth of your service before someone else finds it for you.”
What is ORVIA Lens™?
ORVIA Lens™ is an independent reflective review of your service — designed to show you what your service really looks like, not just what your paperwork says.
We combine what you tell us with what we can independently verify — and we hold the two pictures up side by side. Where they match, we tell you. Where they don’t, we tell you that too.
This is not an inspection. It is not a mock CQC visit. It is not a tick-box audit. It is an honest, reflective, evidence-led review that treats your service — and the people who depend on it — with the seriousness they deserve.
“Safeguarding starts and ends with the person.”
Who is it for?
ORVIA Lens™ is for providers who want to know the truth of their service. Providers who would rather find and fix problems themselves than wait for a regulator to find them.
- Care homes and nursing homes preparing for CQC inspection or wanting assurance between inspections
- Supported living services wanting to check that practice reflects the plan
- Domiciliary care providers who know that what happens behind closed doors matters
- Boards and governance teams who need independent evidence that their service is safe
- Nominated Individuals who want to demonstrate genuine oversight
- Provider groups wanting consistent quality assurance across multiple locations
How it works
1
You tell us about your service
Complete the ORVIA Lens™ submission — your data, your evidence, your context.
2
We review independently
We analyse your submission, cross-reference it against publicly available data, and apply our reflective methodology.
3
We tell you the truth
A clear, honest report: what’s working, where you’ve drifted, and what to do about it. No jargon. No hedging.
What makes ORVIA Lens™ different?
We don’t just read what you send us. Every ORVIA Lens™ review includes an independent publicly available information review. We check what the public record says about your service, your organisation, and your history — because a review that only relies on self-reporting is a review with a blind spot.
We focus on the person, not just the process. Every review includes a lived experience alignment — we look at whether the experience of the person at the centre of the review matches what the paperwork says. This is what we call Seeing What Others Miss™.
We are evidence-based, not opinion-based. Our findings are anchored in sector body guidance, academic research, and evidence triangulation. When we say something needs to change, we can show you why.
We are transparent. You will know exactly what we reviewed, where we found it, and how we reached our conclusions. Every source is cited. Every finding is evidenced.
Three layers of evidence
What you tell us
Your submission, your evidence, your self-assessment. We take this seriously — and we look at what you didn’t tell us just as carefully.
What our analysis finds
Cross-referencing, pattern recognition, evidence triangulation, reflective methodology. We look for what the data is trying to tell you — even when it doesn’t shout.
What the public record shows
An independent review of publicly available information. Regulatory history, corporate data, digital presence, sector evidence. The layer you can’t control — and the layer that tells us the most.
What you will not find here
We are deliberately careful about what we publish about our methodology. ORVIA Lens™ is our proprietary review system — the specific tools, frameworks, and techniques we use are part of what makes it effective.
What we can tell you: it is thorough, it is evidence-based, and it is designed to find what other reviews miss.
What we won’t publish: the specific steps, sources, and analytical tools we use. If we told everyone exactly how we look, everyone would know exactly what to prepare for — and the review would be less honest as a result.
Important
ORVIA is independent and non-statutory. ORVIA Lens™ reviews do not replace CQC regulation, local authority monitoring, safeguarding enquiries, commissioner oversight, legal advice, or provider governance responsibilities. The responsibility for acting on findings sits entirely with the provider.
